[fr] Du recensement de la population de 2001 à celui de 2011, la part des personnes en emploi, c.-à-d. ayant une activité professionnelle dans la population a légèrement décru en passant de 43.9 % à 43.2 %. La proportion d'hommes actifs professionnellement a baissé plus fortement, de 52.2 % à 48.3 %. Chez les femmes par contre, on observe une augmentation de l'activité professionnelle de 35.7 % à 38.2 %. Malgré cette augmentation, la proportion d'hommes en emploi reste supérieure à celle des femmes dans toutes les tranches d'âge. La vie professionnelle commence un peu plus tard, mais elle dure plus longtemps. Une évolution qui concerne en particulier les femmes. Globalement, les étrangers sont relativement plus nombreux à être en emploi que les Luxembourgeois (48.5 % contre 39.5 %). Il apparaît cependant, si l'on considère les tranches d'âge individuelles, que les taux d'emploi des Luxembourgeois sont plus élevés dans les classes d'âge moyen, tandis que ceux des ressortissants étrangers sont plus élevés dans les tranches d'âge supérieures.
[en] Between the 2001 and the 2011 censuses, the part of the persons in employment in the total population decreased slightly from 43.9 % to 43.2 %. For men this recoil was more important. The percentage of the men in employment passed from 52.2 % to 48.3 % of the total of the male population. The part of the women in employment on the other hand, increased from 35.7 % of the female population in 2001 to 38.2 % in 2011. However, in all the age groups, the men remain more numerous to be in employment than the women. The age of the beginning of the professional life increased, but the active life is also longer and this especially for women. The foreigners are relatively more numerous to be in employment (48.5 % of the foreign population) than the Luxembourgers (39.5 % of the Luxembourgish population). In medium age groups, the employment rates of the Luxembourgers are however higher than those of the foreigners. On the other hand, the foreigners are proportionally more numerous to be in employment at more advanced ages than the Luxembourgers.
[de] Im Zeitraum zwischen den Volkszählungen 2001 und 2011 ist der Anteil der Erwerbstätigen an der Bevölkerung leicht von 43.9 % auf 43.2 % gesunken. Stärker gesunken ist der Anteil der erwerbstätigen Männer von 52.2 % auf 48.3 %. Bei den Frauen kam es demgegenüber zu einem Anstieg der Erwerbstä-tigkeit von 35.7 % auf 38.2 %. Trotzdem sind Männer in allen Altersgruppen immer noch zu höheren Anteilen erwerbstätig. Verglichen mit 2001 beginnt das Erwerbsleben der Bevölkerung geringfügig später, dafür dauert es länger – eine Entwicklung, die insbesondere die Erwerbsmuster der Frauen betrifft. Insgesamt haben ausländische Staatsange-hörige höhere Erwerbstätigenquoten als Luxem-burger (48.5 % versus 39.5 %). In der Betrachtung einzelner Alterskohorten zeigt sich aber, dass Luxemburger in den mittleren Lebensjahren höhere Erwerbstätigenquoten haben, ausländische Staats-angehörige hingegen in den älteren Kohorten.
