These elements are protected by the Law of 18 April 2001 regarding authors’ rights, related rights and databases, modified on 1st April 2022 and international conventions on copyright. The exceptions provided for by the law notwithstanding, these elements therefore cannot be reproduced, adapted, modified, redistributed nor circulated without the express written consent of the University of Luxembourg.

Scientific and academic works available on this site are also protected by Luxembourgish laws and international conventions on artistic and literary property. Any use of these works other than simple consultation is subject to the conditions laid out in the user license.

The University of Luxembourg authorizes the user to create a hypertext link to the site on the condition that the site creating this link has no commercial purpose related to its creation, does not use "framing" or "inlining" techniques and/or does not contain any defamatory language or illegal content.

Image Rights

Any individual portrayed and identifiable in any scientific work available on the site has given the author and the University the authorization to reproduce his/her image.

Data protection

Personal data collected within the framework of ORBilu via completed forms are treated in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Act of 1 August 2018 on the organisation of the National Data Protection Commission and the general data protection framework.

The present site does not use "cookies" except in the case when a member of the University of Luxembourg identifies him/herself via the University of Luxembourg's centralized identification process. In this case, any cookies generated are only intended to maintain the identification of the individual for the duration of the session; they are automatically deleted when the session is closed.

Applicable Law and Court of Competent Jurisdiction

Any use of the present site is subject to the Law of Luxembourg.

Any dispute in relation to the use of the present site or its contents comes exclusively under the jurisdiction of the courts of the City of Luxembourg.
