ORBilu (Open Repository and Bibliography Luxembourg) is the institutional repository of the University of Luxembourg. ORBilu ensures global visibility for the University's academics and their collaborations. ORBilu is a publicly accessible repository, in the last 12 months 500k documents were downloaded and nearly 40% of content is open access.

With ORBilu you can:

  • Deposit all your research output, in particular peer reviewed publications, conference proceedings, books and book chapters, but ORBilu also welcomes grey literature, g. reports, presentations, lectures, brochures and any outreach work that you do. You can also create a metadata record for datasets and content that may be deposited elsewhere.
  • By enriching your metadata, you ensure that your research is findable and accessible to all, removing the barriers to research. You can create publication reports and download statistics of who is viewing and downloading your publications and content.
  • From ORBilu your research content is pushed to a number of search engines and collected by harvesters. Within hours your research will be findable on the web. (To find out moreread more about visibility).
  • Spend a few minutes each month on ORBilu and you will ensure your high-quality research here at the University is fairly evaluated. Most of all you make yourself visible.
