[fr] A la date du recensement, 82 363 Portugais vivaient au Luxembourg, soit 16.1% de la population totale. Depuis 1970, le nombre absolu de Portugais, tout comme leur part dans la population n’ont cessé d’augmenter. La moyenne d’âge des Portugais (32.9 ans) est beaucoup moins élevé que celle de la population totale (38.7 ans). 3 011 personnes de nationalité portugaise vivant au Luxembourg ont 65 ans et plus, ce qui correspond à seulement 3.7% de la population portugaise habitant le Luxembourg. Par contre, la part des 65 ans et plus dans l’ensemble de la population atteint 14%. 70.0% des Portugais habitant au Luxembourg sont nés au Portugal et 24.4% sont nés au Luxembourg. En termes absolus, la plupart des Portugais (13 567) habitent dans la Ville de Luxembourg. C’est cependant à Larochette que leur part relative est la plus importante (45.2% de la population de cette commune). En moyenne, les Portugais ont un niveau d’éducation plus faible que la population totale en moyenne. Cependant, comme pour l’ensemble de la population, on assiste à une hausse du niveau d’éducation : les cohortes plus jeunes sont mieux formées que les cohortes plus âgées. Cependant un écart subsiste. Dans la classe d’âge des 25-34 ans, 50% des Portugais ont un niveau d’éducation faible (primaire et secondaire inférieur de 3 années au plus), alors que le pourcentage correspondant est de 20% pour cette classe d’âge dans l’ensemble de la population. 53% des Portugais vivant au Luxembourg au moment du recensement de 2011 ont immigré au Grand-Duché entre 1995 et 2011.
[en] On the occasion of the Portugal day, STATEC and the University of Luxembourg publish a portrait of the portuguese population living in Luxembourg, based on the results of the population census. On February 1st 2011 (Census Day), 82 363 Portuguese lived in Luxembourg, who make up 16.1% of the total population. Since 1970, the absolute number of Portuguese, as well as their share in the population increased continuously. The average age of the Portuguese is much lower than the average age of the total population (32.9 years against 38.7 years). 3 011 Portuguese living in Luxembourg are 65 years and older. This corresponds to only 3.7% of the total Portuguese population living in Luxembourg, whereas the proportion of persons aged 65 and over in the total population reached 14%. 70.0% of Portuguese living in Luxembourg were born in Portugal and 24.4% were born in Luxembourg. In absolute terms, most Portuguese (13 567) live in the City of Luxembourg. However, their relative share is the highest in Larochette (45.2% of the population of this municipality). On average, the Portuguese have a lower level of education than the total population. However, as for the total population, the level of education increased: the younger cohorts are better educated than older cohorts. Nevertheless, a gap remains. In the age group of 25 to 34 years, 50% of Portuguese people have a low level of education (primary and lower secondary), while the corresponding percentage is 20% for this age group in the total population. 53% of Portuguese living in the country in 2011 immigrated to Luxembourg between 1995 and 2011.
[de] Am 1. Februar 2011 (Stichtag der Volkszählung) lebten 82 363 Portugiesen in Luxemburg, was
16.1 % der Gesamtbevölkerung entspricht. Damit sind sowohl ihre absolute Zahl als auch ihr Anteil an der Gesamtbevölkerung seit allen Volkszählungen ab 1970 stetig gestiegen. Verglichen mit der Gesamtbevölkerung sind die Portugiesen im Durchschnitt jünger (32.9 Jahre vs. 38.7 Jahre). 3 011 Portugiesen haben mehr als 65 Jahre, was nur 3.7 % aller in Luxemburg lebender Portugiesen ausmacht. Zum Vergleich: Der Prozentsatz der über 65 Jährigen in der Gesamtbevölkerung liegt bei 14 %. Mit 70.0 % wurde die Mehrheit der Portugiesen in Portugal geboren, weitere 24.4 % wurden in Luxemburg geboren. In absoluten Zahlen wohnen die meisten Portugiesen in Luxemburg-Stadt (13 567), den größten Anteil an der Wohnbevölkerung stellen sie dagegen in Larochette (45.2 %). Insgesamt betrachtet haben die Portugiesen häufiger niedrige formale Bildungsabschlüsse als die Gesamtbevölkerung. Allerdings ist bei beiden Gruppen eine Bildungsexpansion zu beobachten, d.h. in beiden Gruppen sind die jüngeren Kohorten formal höher gebildet als die älteren Kohorten. Allerdings bleibt auch bei den Jüngeren ein klarer Unterschied: 50 % der Portugiesen in der Altersklasse von 25 bis 34 Jahren haben einen niedrigen Schulabschluss (3 Jahre Sekundarunterricht und weniger), gegenüber 20 % derselben Altersklasse in der Gesamtbevölkerung. 53 % der in Luxemburg lebenden Portugiesen sind zwischen 1995 und 2011 eingewandert.
