[en] This chapter presents a series of case studies that show the different ways in which the memory of Charlemagne was invoked and developed in Occitan-speaking regions, as a founder, restorer, protector and warrior. Regional and chronological foci include 13th-c Narbonne/Lagrasse, 14th-c Avignon and 13th-14th c Bordeaux.
