Abstract :
[en] A conversation with political theorist Rahel Süß, in conversation with Francelle Cane, Markus Miessen and César Reyes, explores contemporary challenges to democratic practice. The discussion addresses democratic legitimacy, social movements, participatory assemblies and the role of digital technologies, with a focus on power relations and structural inequalities. Süß argues for understanding democracy as an ongoing social process rather than a fixed institutional framework, emphasising the importance of conflict, collective organisation and everyday democratic practices across political, social and digitally mediated spaces.
