Abstract :
[en] In light of pressing skill shortages, the question on how it is possible to tap into the skills of migrants already living and working in Luxembourg more effectively arises. While the issue of mismatched skills is often recognised as a problem affecting the entire population, several stakeholders underline the higher significance of this problem for migrants from third countries. Stemming from its increased relevance for migrants, this study collected inputs from a diverse set of stakeholders to analyse policies and initiatives that address mismatching and promote skills in Luxembourg. On that basis, the study identified challenges, best practices and lessons learned in promoting sustainable labour market integration of migrants through skills matching.
