Abstract :
[en] Video games have become powerful arenas for engaging with the past, moving beyond representation to practices of memory, empathy, and critical reflection. This talk explores the concept of transformative play as a framework for public history, showing how games can reshape players, historical practice, institutions, and cultural memory. Drawing on case studies and ongoing projects, it highlights both the ethical challenges and the future potential of play in history-making.
