Abstract :
[en] This chapter focuses on Portuguese immigrant families in Luxembourg compared to Luxembourgish families. Main interrelated topics are cultural identity constructions, intergenerational solidarity as well as needs and expectations for intergenerational support. We also focus on the transmission of values between generations, and on well-being of older parents and their adult children in migrant and non-migrant families. Furthermore, perceptions of the multicultural society of Luxembourg, the involvement in associations, as well as the individual migration history are taken into consideration.
