Abstract :
[en] This conference aims to discuss the ethical, psychological and legal challenges of children's enthanasia since its decriminalization in 2014 in Belgium. Taking into account a family-centered approach and a holistic nursing perspective, suffering of children with life-limiting conditions will be addressed. Additionally, some tools to implement shared-decision making processes with children, parents and health care professionals will be presented to mitigate the moral distress experienced by clinical teams when dealing with ethical dilemmas.
