Working paper on implications for equality, diversity and inclusion: The use and regulation of artificial intelligence and automation in the employment context
[en] The purpose of the working paper is to synthesise literature on the use of AI-powered tools and non-discrimination and to map out emerging trends in regulatory responses. It also considers whether these initiatives adequately address discrimination and exclusion by AI-based tools and practices. This working paper also considers whether the scope of International Labour Standards (ILS), particularly Convention No. 111, is encompassing of discrimination by AI-based tools. It consequently reflects on the position of the ILO in the matter and the expansion of AI tools to informal sectors.
