[en] During the COVID-19 crisis many institutions have started live and special collections related to web
archives of the pandemic. Many libraries have also been involved in an initiative led by the IIPC
(International Internet Preservation Consortium) to gather a huge international collection of web
archives available through Archive-It. Taking as a starting point two research projects related to the
analysis of the web archiving of the COVID crisis, that we conducted within WARCnet and through
the AWAC2 cohort program, this presentation will focus on issues related to scalable reading,
contextualization of datasets, FAIR data, sustainability, inclusiveness, etc., in order to unfold the
challenges of these collections and of their analysis in a short and in a long term perspective.
