[fr] En 2008, le Grand-Duché de Luxembourg dispose de 238 stations-services, parmi lesquelles 167 (soit près des trois-quarts) se trouvent à proximité immédiate de la frontière du pays. La surface relativement petite du Luxembourg laisse supposer que les stations-services sont toutes proches des frontières. Des disparités sont toutefois constatées : dans l’intérieur du pays, les emplacements des stations-services dépendent pour la plupart de la répartition géographique de la population et du réseau de transport principal. La densité des stations-services est élevée dans la région de Luxembourg-ville, centre et principal carrefour du Grand-Duché où convergent les autoroutes radiales A1, A3, A4 et A6, ainsi que dans les zones fortement peuplées du sud du pays, traversé de l'est à l'ouest par l'A13. Les stations-services se font en revanche plus rares dans le nord du pays, où la population est moins élevée et les infrastructures de transport encore peu développées. La voie principale au nord d’Ettelbruck n’étant qu’une route nationale (N7), cette région ne dispose d’aucun accès autoroutier vers les pays voisins.

Die relativ kleine Fläche Luxemburgs lässt vermuten, dass die Tankstellen alle in Grenznähe liegen. Es sind jedoch Unterschiede festzustellen: Im Landesinneren hängen die Standorte der Tankstellen größtenteils von der geografischen Verteilung der Bevölkerung und dem Hauptverkehrsnetz ab. Die Tankstellendichte ist hoch in der Region Luxemburg-Stadt, dem Zentrum und wichtigsten Verkehrsknotenpunkt des Großherzogtums, wo die radialen Autobahnen A1, A3, A4 und A6 zusammenlaufen, sowie in den dicht besiedelten Gebieten im Süden des Landes, der von Ost nach West von der A13 durchquert wird. Im Norden des Landes, wo die Bevölkerung geringer ist und die Verkehrsinfrastruktur noch nicht so weit entwickelt ist, sind Tankstellen dagegen seltener. Da die Hauptverkehrsader nördlich von Ettelbrück nur eine Nationalstraße (N7) ist, verfügt diese Region über keinen Autobahnanschluss zu den Nachbarländern.
[en] In 2008, the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg had 238 service stations, of which 167 (almost three-quarters) were located in the immediate vicinity of the country's border. Luxembourg's relatively small surface area suggests that the service stations are all close to the border. However, there are disparities: in the interior of the country, the location of service stations depends for the most part on the geographical distribution of the population and the main transport network. The density of service stations is high in the region of Luxembourg City, the centre and main crossroads of the Grand Duchy where the A1, A3, A4 and A6 radial motorways converge, as well as in the densely populated areas of the south of the country, crossed from east to west by the A13. In the north of the country, however, where the population is lower and the transport infrastructure is still underdeveloped, there are fewer service stations. As the main road north of Ettelbruck is only a national road (N7), this region has no motorway access to neighbouring countries.
