[fr] Avec près de 150 000 salariés et plus de 600 entreprises, l’industrie automobile compte parmi les secteurs d’activité les plus importants dans la Grande Région. Cependant, dans un passé plus récent, la mondialisation, le développement technologique et surtout la crise économique et financière mondiale ont fortement influencé le secteur, tout en lui posant des défis. Ce texte tente de reprendre ces évolutions et de discuter les stratégies et mesures éventuelles qui permettront de relever les défis. [de] Mit fast 150.000 Beschäftigten und über 600 Unternehmen zählt die Automobilindustrie zu den wichtigsten Wirtschaftszweigen in der Großregion. In der jüngeren Vergangenheit haben die Globalisierung, die technologische Entwicklung und vor allem die weltweite Wirtschafts- und Finanzkrise den Sektor jedoch stark beeinflusst und vor Herausforderungen gestellt. Der vorliegende Text versucht, diese Entwicklungen aufzugreifen und mögliche Strategien und Maßnahmen zur Bewältigung der Herausforderungen zu diskutieren. [en] With almost 150,000 employees and more than 600 companies, the automotive industry is one of the most important sectors in the Greater Region. However, in the more recent past, globalisation, technological development and, above all, the global economic and financial crisis have had a strong influence on the sector and have posed challenges. This text attempts to review these developments and discuss possible strategies and measures to meet the challenges.
