[en] This book offers new perspectives on Luxembourg history after 1940 focusing on lived experiences on the one hand and representations of gender in various media, on the other. It contains 27 articles. Some authors explore the significance of gender in politics, education and the arts (music, literature and film). Others investigate gender stereotypes in school books, advertisement, television and magazines. The book presents gender identities that transcend the male/female binary, yet shows that the latter remains hegemonial in many domains.
