Abstract :
[en] Since the concepts of youth and experimentation are often associated and defined by their specificity as regards their relation to time and to existing social categories, this article looks at the way public policy experiments designed for the young become a space of confrontation between the temporality of the State, of organisations and of young people. Three examples enable us to see that despite these differences, experimentation remains a space-time in which there is room for the expression of each individual’s representations, and the categories can therefore be called into question. [fr] Parce que le concept de jeunesse et celui d’expérimentation sont souvent associés et définis par leur spécificité quant à leur rapport au temps et aux catégories sociales existantes, cet article regarde la manière dont les expérimentations de politique publique à destination des jeunes deviennent un espace où se confrontent les temporalités de l’État, des organisations et des jeunes. Trois exemples nous permettent d’observer que, malgré ces différences, l’expérimentation reste un espace-temps où une place est laissée à l’expression des représentations de chacun, et où les catégories peuvent donc être remises en cause.
