Abstract :
[en] This paper examines political legitimacy and urban governance in Luxembourg City in the immediate aftermath of liberation between 1944 and 1946. It focuses on municipal institutions, local purge practices, and postwar coalition building to show how city authorities sought to restore order while addressing demands for justice and reconstruction. Postwar urban governance is situated within a broader national context of transition and crisis.
