Commentary :
The international conference took place at the Chamber of Deputies of the Mexican Congress and was organized around three thematic panels: Political Dialogue, Sustainable Development, and Cooperation. In total, 65 representatives from both sides of the Atlantic attended in person, while more than 9,000 participants followed the conference virtually (see https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s1eSSYYR-qw&t=3723s; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lfvrjIgkBTI). Speakers represented a wide range of sectors, including senior officials from Mexico’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, members of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Chamber of Deputies, representatives of the Delegation of the European Union in Mexico together with cooperation agencies from EU Member States, former Members of the European Parliament, representatives of human rights organizations, and scholars.
