Abstract :
[de] Batty Weber war ein aufmerksamer und kritischer Beobachter der städtischen Entwicklung Luxemburgs. Um seine Texte als aussagekräftige Quelle einer Stadt im Wandel aufzuzeigen, wird versucht, sie mit Hilfe des Luxatlas in den zeitgenössischen Kontext zu versetzen. Der Luxatlas dient dabei als eine Art Zeitfenster in die von Weber beschriebene Stadt des frühen 20. Jahrhunderts. [en] Batty Weber was an attentive and critical observer of urban development in Luxembourg. In order to present his texts as a meaningful source of information about a city in transition, we have attempted to place them in their contemporary context with the help of the Luxatlas. The Luxatlas serves as a kind of window into the city of the early 20th century as described by Weber. [fr] Batty Weber était un observateur attentif et critique du développement urbain de Luxembourg. Afin de présenter ses textes comme une source significative sur une ville en mutation, nous tentons de les replacer dans leur contexte contemporain à l'aide du Luxatlas. Le Luxatlas sert ici de fenêtre temporelle sur la ville du début du XXe siècle décrite par Weber.
