Nietzsches Dionysos-Dithyramben reflektieren in ihrer Zusammenstellung als Zyklus das grundsätzliche (und gattungstheoretisch auch allgemein relevante) Problem moderner Lyrik: dass sie nur in der selbstreflexiven Modulation, also der zukunftsoffenen Veränderung ihrer Formen besteht. Dies korrespondiert einem grundlegenden philosophischen Problem Nietzsches: Die Sprache der Begriffe wie auch jede
repetitive Form von Poesie sind der Einsicht in die illusionäre Natur aller Subjektivität nicht gewachsen. – The cyclic composition of Nietzsche’s Dionysian Dithyrambs (Dionysos-Dithyramben) reflect the fundamental problem of modern poetry (which is also relevant to genre theory in general): Modern poetry consists only in self-reflective modulation, that is, in the open-ended alteration of its forms. This corresponds to a
fundamental philosophical problem in Nietzsche’s works: both the language of concepts and any repetitive form of poetry are no match for the insight into the illusory nature of all subjectivity.
