[fr] 70.5% de la population utilise la langue luxembourgeoise au travail, à l’école et/ou à la maison, 55.7% le français et 30.6% l'allemand. En moyenne 2.2 langues sont utilisées. Les adolescents et les jeunes adultes dépassent cette valeur moyenne, tandis que les enfants et les personnes âgées restent en dessous. Environ la moitié des Allemands, des Néerlandais et des Monténégrins résidant au Luxembourg utilisent le luxembourgeois, occupant ainsi les trois premières places parmi les nationalités. L’utilisation du luxembourgeois par les immigrés augmente avec la durée de leur séjour. Dans les communes rurales du nord du pays, où le taux des étrangers est relativement faible, le pourcentage de la population résidente utilisant le luxembourgeois dépasse en général les 80% (Consthum 94.8%) ; à Luxembourg-Ville il est 48.8%.

Im arithmetischen Mittel werden 2.2 Sprachen genutzt, wobei Jugendliche und junge Erwachsene über diesem Wert liegen, Kinder und ältere Menschen darunter. Rund die Hälfte der hier lebenden Deutschen, Niederländer und Montenegriner spricht Luxemburgisch, das sind die höchsten Anteile unter den Ausländern. Bei Einwanderern steigt der Anteil der Luxemburgischsprecher nahezu kontinuierlich mit der Aufenthaltsdauer im Land. In ländlichen Gemeinden im Norden des Landes, wo auch der Ausländeranteil relativ niedrig ist, liegt der Prozentsatz der Bevölkerung, die Luxemburgisch spricht, in der Regel über 80 % (in Consthum: 94.8 %), in Luxemburg-Stadt sind es 48.8 %.

Adolescents and young adults exceed this average, while children and the elderly are below. About half of the Germans, Dutch and Montenegrins living in Luxembourg use Luxembourgish and occupy the first three places among the foreign nationalities speaking Luxembourgish. The use of Luxembourgish by immigrants increases with the duration of their stay. In rural regions, especially in the north of the country, where the rate of foreigners is relatively low, the percentage of the resident population using Luxembourgish generally exceeds 80% (Consthum 94.8%). In Luxembourg City the rate is only 48.8%.
