Abstract :
[en] For decades, Mexico and the European Union have been strategic allies in an increasingly polarised and complex international order, sharing common values, visions, and objectives. More than ever, they are called to deepen their ties economically, politically, and in the realm of cooperation. This policy paper examines and provides recommendations for modernising the trade pillar of the EU-Mexico Global Agreement, with a particular focus on the Trade and Sustainable Development (TSD) chapter. Key topics addressed include justice and security for Mexico’s Indigenous Peoples, labor and environmental rights, and dialogue with civil society actors.
