Wind Music Research, Wind Music Practice, Instrumentation, Repertoire
Abstract :
[en] In my lecture, I will explore the transformative potential of structured dramaturgy as a framework for acceptance of musical experiences. By analysing the interplay between narrative architecture and sonic expression, I demonstrate how dramaturgical principles, such as choice and thematic development, can shape listeners’ engagement with wind music across genres, from so-called classical wind music to contemporary mainstream compositions. Drawing on case studies, the lecture illuminates how intentional structural design heightens emotional resonance. My argumentation is that applying dramaturgical strategies to musical creation and analysis fosters deeper audience connection, enabling performers and listeners to form auditory stimulation. By my approach, I posit, redefine wind music as a dynamic storytelling medium, offering insights for listeners of any kind and interest seeking to expand the boundaries of how wind music is experienced, interpreted, and contextualised.
