Abstract :
[en] In this chapter, we first consider the rationale for Universities to engage in research and Tech Transfer partnerships with business. Considering the third official mission given to universities, we then describe the different possibilities and channels for collaboration, including examples of frameworks and tools. Different stakeholders and intermediaries are listed, as well as dedicated programs such as Proof of concept schemes which prove particularly useful for innovation. Examples are provided from different countries showing some success factors. The conclusion insists on the necessity of a mutual understanding and a clear description of the expected objectives for each party.
