Abstract :
[en] Since the mid-1990s, Hans-Werner Kroesinger has developed into one of the most important representatives of a new German documentary theatre. In his play FRONTex SECURITY he deals with the European refugee and asylum policy - based on a large amount of documentary material. Instead of focusing on refugees themselves and their personal stories, Kroesinger shows the social and political context behind the tragedies of flight that we have seen in the Mediterranean Sea over the last decade. Even though Kroesinger follows the tradition of German documentary theatre of the 1960s, his aesthetics used in FRONTex SECURITY also refer to Heiner Müller's 'Dramaturgie der Überschwemmung' or the concept of 'postdramatic theatre'.
