Abstract :
[en] Asca Rampini and the integration of Italian immigrants into Luxembourg society through music" Asca Rampini (1931-1999) was the conductor of the Harmonie municipale de Differdange between 1965 and 1980. Under his baton, this wind band became one of the best in Europe. A side-effect of Asca Rampini's merit, about which little has been said until now, is that he brought together Italian immigrants and Luxembourg citizens - like himself, in most cases workers in the steel industry — through music with a coexistance at a high artistic level.
