[en] Contemporary housing markets offer increasingly unequal opportunities to secure well-located, affordable, and quality housing. Most of the time, these opportunities seemingly stem from economic inequality – a story of the “haves and the have nots” – or generational inequality – a story of “generation rent.” What is missing from this analysis is what happens within households, or across different family types. This talk discusses the many ways in which people of different genders experience housing unequally.
