Abstract :
[en] This article delves into Directive 2010/64/EU, tracing its historical roots, scrutinizing its key features, and envisioning future legal considerations. The historical framework unravels the evolution of the Directive in response to the imperative to protect fundamental rights. Examining its main features, the article unveils how the directive safeguards the right to interpretation and translation, fostering fairness and accessibility in criminal proceedings. Looking forward, the last chapter analyses the relevant case-law of the Court of Justice, providing insights into potential refinements and adaptations.
