Acquisition of citizenship in Luxembourg

This presentation maps the key findings of the EMN Study “Pathways to citizenship for third-country nationals in Luxembourg”, published in December 2019. It provides a brief overview of the three pathways through which third-country nationals can acquire Luxembourgish citizenship after birth, presents key figures, elaborates on the legislative changes regarding the Luxembourgish nationality law and briefly maps the public debate on the subject.
