Abstract :
[de] Seit 1238 ist ein Leprosorium urkundlich belegt. Es diente zur Unterbringung und Versorgung von leprakranken Bürgern und befand sich an der Alzette nördlich von Pfaffenthal beim Siechengrund, heute „Val des bons Malades“. Zu dem Leprosenhof gehörte eine Kapelle, ein Friedhof und die Wohnhäuser der Kranken. Bis zum Aussterben der Seuche im 18. Jahrhundert lebten hier Leprakranke. Heute dient die Kirche als Friedhofskapelle. [en] A leprosarium has been documented since 1238. It served for the accommodation and welfare of citizens suffering from leprosy and was located near the Alzette river north of Pfaffenthal at the Siechengrund, today "Val des bons Malades". The leprosarium consisted of a chapel, a cemetery and the homes of the lepers. The lepers lived here until the epidemic died out in the 18th century. Today the church serves as a cemetery chapel.
