The syntax recodes children`s Body Mass Index (BMI) into BMI categories according to the "IOTF Body Mass Index Cut-Offs for Thinness, Overweight and Obesity in Children" by Cole & Lobstein 2012. To run the syntax you need 3 variables: 1. "gender" (1 = boys, 2 = girls) 2. "age" (age in years; the cut-offs are calculated for each month of age from 2 to 18 years) and 3. "BMI" (Body Mass Index).
