[de] Dieser Kommentar verfolgt 3 Absichten: Erstens soll die je spezifische Definition und Verortung „kritischer“ bzw. „angewandter“ Geographie hinterfragt werden; zweitens wird die im Kontext kritischer Analysen vorgenommene Bewertung diskutiert, die Wissenschaft hätte ihren Kontakt zu den sozialen Bewegungen verloren. Dies führt drittens zu einer Reflektion darüber, wie die Schnittstelle
zwischen Wissenschaft und Praxis in der Geographie heute beschaffen ist bzw. aussehen könnte oder sollte. [en] The aim of this commentary is threefold. First, it interrogates the specific definition and situatedness of “critical” and “applied” geography; second, it discusses the assumption that there is a disconnect between science and social movements made in the context of critical discourses. Third, this leads to reflection upon what the interface between science and practice in geography is, or what it could or
should be like today.
