Abstract :
[en] Women poets (trobairitz) are named as authors of satirical poems of the 12th-13th centuries. It is not known if they were accepted culturally as performers. This chapter suggests that women performers are received in culturally-determined ways that can make it difficult to view their work solely as subsersive.
