[en] At the time of the census, 31,456 French lived in Luxembourg, or 6.1% of the total population. In absolute terms and as a percentage of the total population, these values are the highest since the census of 1875. The average age of the French living in Luxembourg is, with 34.7 years, lower than that of the total population (38.7 years). Since the 2001 census, the number of French living in Luxembourg increased by 57.4%. This growth exceeds even that of the total of foreigners which has increased by 35.9% since 2001. 72% of French residents in 2011 arrived between 1995 and 2011, while the corresponding figure for this time period is only 56% for all immigrants. 73.4% of the French living in the country were born in France and 16.4% were born in the Grand Duchy. The French are the most numerous in Luxembourg City (13 450 people). Their relative share is also the highest in the capital, with 14.1% of the population of the City of Luxembourg. Overall, the education level of french people living in Luxembourg is higher than that of the total population.

En termes absolus, comme en pourcentage de la population totale, ces valeurs sont les plus élevées depuis le recensement de 1875. La moyenne d’âge des Français est, avec 34.7 ans, moins élevée que celle de la population totale (38.7 ans). Depuis le recensement de 2001, le nombre de Français résidant au Luxembourg a augmenté de 57.4%. Cette croissance dépasse même celle du total des étrangers qui n’a augmenté que de 35.9% depuis 2001. 72% des Français résidant en 2011 au Luxembourg sont arrivés entre 1995 et 2011, alors que le pourcentage correspondant n’est que de 56% pour l’ensemble des immigrés. 73.4% des Français habitant le Luxembourg sont nés en France et 16.4% sont nés au Grand-Duché. Les Français sont les plus nombreux à Luxembourg-Ville (13 450 personnes). C’est également dans la capitale que leur part relative est la plus importante avec 14.1% de la population de la Ville de Luxembourg. Globalement, le niveau d’éducation des Français est plus élevé que celui de la population totale.

Damit weisen sowohl ihre absolute Zahl als auch ihr Anteil an der Gesamtbevölkerung die höchsten Werte seit allen Volkszählungen ab 1875 auf. Verglichen mit der Gesamtbevölkerung sind die Franzosen im Durchschnitt 4 Jahre jünger (34.7 Jahre vs. 38.7 Jahre). Mit 73.4 % wurde die Mehrheit der Franzosen in Frankreich geboren, weitere 16.4 % wurden in Luxemburg geboren. In absoluten Zahlen wohnen die meisten Franzosen in Luxemburg-Stadt (13 450), dort ist auch ihr Anteil an Wohnbevölkerung mit 14.1 % der höchste von allen Gemeinden des Landes. Insgesamt betrachtet haben die Franzosen häufiger hohe formale Bildungsabschlüsse als die Gesamtbevölkerung.
