[en] This article deals with intergenerational relationships between grandparents and grandchildren in three-generation households. It is based on the report of twelve boys and girls, aged between eight and ten years, from the middle class of the city of Porto Alegre, southern Brazil. In this research, the children discuss how these homes are organized, the roles played by their various family members and the solidarity networks between the generations.
