[en] In this paper a new mathematical model of the glucose-insulin system is presented.
The proposed model represents Type 1 Diabetes Mellitus patients and seeks to give a suitable model of the malfunction of the pancreas. Based on the classic minimal model, this new approach takes into account the description of the glucose dynamic in the subcutaneous layer and a meal disturbance term, together with an additional term that represents the insulin injections, which make this proposal a more realistic approach. Virtual data from UVA/Padova T1DMS software are used for rst evaluations of the effectiveness of the proposed model. | |
