[de] Das Großherzogtum Luxemburg verfügte im Jahr 2008 über 238 Tankstellen. Allein 167 davon - knapp drei Viertel - liegen in unmittelbarer Nähe zur Landesgrenze. Hier kam es in den letzten Jahrzehnten zu einer unverhältnismäßig hohen Konzentration von Tankstellen als Folge des internationalen Tanktourismus, eines Phänomens, das sich aus dem deutlichen Preisvorteil des Kraftstoffs in Luxemburg gegenüber seinen Nachbarländern ergibt.
