Request for self-archiving / to deposit in ORBilu

Letter template to be sent to publishers for whom the policy regarding self-archiving is negative or incomplete. Some publishers are more open to individual requests rather than issuing a global policy. We recommend, however, as often as possible, to try to obtain from the publisher a global policy in favour of Open Access.

Request for amendment of a signed contract

An amendment is a simple way to obtain the legal right to deposit in an open access archive without renegotiating the entire publishing contract. Do not hesitate to offer this model to your editor. Other organizations also offer their own template for an addendum (SPARC, MIT...).

Request to add a clause to a publishing contract which is in negotations

For your future contract negotiations, it is advisable to offer the publisher a specific clause. This allows the preservation of the possibility to disseminate the work on ORBilu.
