Fault-tolerance protocols play an important role in today long runtime scienti\ufb01c parallel applications. The probability of a failure may be important due to the number of unreliable components involved during an execution. We present our approach and preliminary results about a new checkpoint/rollback protocol based on a coordinated scheme. The application is described using a dataflow graph, which is an abstract representation of the execution. Thanks to this representation, the fault recovery in our protocol only requires a partial restart of other processes. Simulations on a domain decomposition application show that the amount of computations required to restart and the number of involved processes are reduced compared to the classical global rollback protocol. The SQALES (Students' Quality of Life and Employability Skills) project aims to help universities adopt the recommendations from Bergen (Communiqué 2005) within the framework of the Bologna Process and the European Higher Education Area (EHEA, Communiqué de Louvain & European Council, 2009). Under the European Council declaration of 1999, universities have become subject to assessment in terms of productivity and competitiveness. Against that background, we aim to help universities: Create a tool for assessing employability skills (ES) and addressing the requirements of the Bologna Process and the European Higher Education Area (EHEA, European Council, 2009) Create an evaluation device with which to establish benchmarks Facilitate a dialogue between all those involved in order to meet students’ needs Adopt new activities and make use of new resources Compare themselves with other European universities The objectives of Sqales are to: - Describe Employability skills, WHOQoL domains and socio-demographic characteristics Analyse the links between employability skills and other variables Identify students' feelings about their faculties using a range of scores [less ▲]

Exploiting efficiently the resources of whole Grid'5000 with the same application requires to solve several issues: 1) resources reservation; 2) application's processes deployment; 3) application's tasks scheduling. For the IV Grid Plugtests, we used a dedicated tool for each issue to solve. The N-Queens contest rules imposed ProActive for the resources reservations (issue 1). Issue 2 was solved using TakTuk which allows to deploy a large set of remote nodes. Deployed nodes take part in the deployment using an adaptive algorithm that makes it very efficient. For the 3rd issue, we wrote our application with Athapascan API whose model is based on the concepts of tasks and shared data. The application is described as a data-flow graph using the Shared and Fork keywords. This high level abstraction of hardware gives us an efficient execution with the Kaapi runtime engine using a work-stealing scheduling algorithm to balance the workload between all the distributed processes. Plus les détenus du centre pénitentiaire de Givenich accordent une valeur positive au travail, meilleur est leur bien être psychologique. A l’opposé plus les chômeurs de longue durée de l’ADEM attribuent de l’importance au rôle professionnel, plus leur santé mentale se dégrade. Plus le niveau d’instruction des personnes qui n’ont pas atteint la fin du cycle secondaire est faible, plus il est associé à un moins bon équilibre mental voir à un état dépressif. Détenus et chômeurs de longue durée en situation d’attente vers un retour à l'emploi nécessitent un véritable soutien psychologique et un accompagnement individualisé adaptés à leurs besoins.
