We introduce WikiDoMiner -- a tool for automatically generating domain-specific corpora by crawling Wikipedia. WikiDoMiner helps requirements engineers create an external knowledge resource that is specific to the underlying domain of a given requirements specification (RS). Being able to build such a resource is important since domain-specific datasets are scarce. WikiDoMiner generates a corpus by first extracting a set of domain-specific keywords from a given RS, and then querying Wikipedia for these keywords. The output of WikiDoMiner is a set of Wikipedia articles relevant to the domain of the input RS. Mining Wikipedia for domain-specific knowledge can be beneficial for multiple requirements engineering tasks, e.g., ambiguity handling, requirements classification, and question answering. WikiDoMiner is publicly available on Zenodo under an open-source license (https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.6672682) [less ▲]

[less ▲]

For a long time William Penny Brookes’ influence on the re-establishment of the Olympic Games has been neglected thanks to a focus on Pierre de Coubertin’s creative force. Meanwhile Brookes’ general work for the Olympic movement has been officially acknowledged by the IOC. However, the British origins have not been proved yet for the modern pentathlon, which is – just like the Olympics – widely presented to be Coubertin’s child. The two sport officials had been in touch since the 1890s and while the Olympic Games did not include the modern pentathlon before 1912, a pentathlon was organised as early as 1868 on the occasion of the Wenlock Games. This combined event did not have the same shape as the later modern pentathlon, but the ideological similarities are as obvious as Brookes’ general impact on Coubertin. By analysing historical documents located in the IOC Archives in Lausanne, Switzerland, the Archives of the Wenlock Olympian Society in Much Wenlock, UK, and the National Archives of Sweden in Stockholm, this study aims to trace to what extent Brookes and the Much Wenlock Games impacted upon the birth of the modern pentathlon. Thus, the study reinterprets the genesis of a 100-year-old Olympic sport that has, until today, been exclusively dedicated to Coubertin. [less ▲]

This communication was given in the context of the launch of a new book of saint Willibrord, archbishop of Utrecht and fouder of the abbey of Echternach (obit 739). This book, édite by the Luxembourg School of Religion and Society, is a comic strip, purporting to relate the life and career of Willibrord. The him of my presentation was to provide a lay audience with informations about the nature of the main narrative sources on Willibrord, i.e. hagiographical sources, and about what we know of their authors' agenda. These sources (extracts from Bede's Historia ecclesiastical written ca. 730 and the Life of Willibrord by Alcuin, written ca. 795) have been extremely influential in shaping the perception we have of the saint. The text of this contribution will be developped into an online publication. [less ▲]

Building on the presentation given in Novembre 2019 on the occasion of the book-launch of the comic strip on Willibrord, published by the LSRS, this presentation delved deeper into the construction of the hagiographic figure of saint Willibrord by early authors. This presentation was given as part of a half-day formation for pastoral staff on Willibrord and Echternach at the Luxembourg School of Religion and Society. [less ▲]

An NQ-manifold is a nonnegatively graded supermanifold with a degree 1 homological vector field. The focus of this paper is to define the Wilson loops/lines in the context of NQ-manifolds and to study their properties. The Wilson loops/lines, which give the holonomy or parallel transport, are familiar objects in usual differential geometry, we analyze the subtleties in the generalization to the NQ-setting and we also sketch some possible applications of our construction.
