We present a story about the celebration of the yams root which is told by an elder of the village. Then we show the main phonological morphosyntactical and lexical features of tayo. After those reflexions on internal linguistics, we observe the status of the language (prestige, utilization, future) and we describe in importance for scientific research in the fields of creolistics and the formation of language in general.
